Meet the fabulously dysfunctional Gallagher family. Dad's a raging drunk, Mom left long ago, 21 year-old daughter Fiona tries to hold the family together. Genius, but rebellious, son Philip (Lip) cheats on SATs for jocks and trades his physics tutoring skills for sexual favors from neighborhood girls. Middle son Ian is gay and is just starting to let the family in his secret. Youngest daughter Debbie (Debs) steals cash from her UNICEF collection. Ten-year-old Carl is scary; a borderline sociopath, and toddler Liam is - well, black.

Shameless stars William H Macy (as drunk Dad Frank Gallagher) in Showtime's adaptation of the original UK series. Inspired by TV writer Paul Abbot's childhood growing up in a working-class family with 8 children, the award-winning original series showcases a dysfunctional family led by a 21 year-old sibling, Fiona.
